Support Overberg firefighting year-round – donations made this winter help equip and support firefighters during fire season.

FARM & LAND MEMBERS
If you are a farm owner or a landowner in the Overberg, you can become a goFPA member. Membership is voluntary for private landowners, and when you sign up, you’ll receive all the support the goFPA team offers our members – through integrated fire management assistance. There is a joining fee and annual fee to join as a member. Government departments, municipalities and conservation authorities who own land in the Overberg must become goFPA members.
Members will form part of a Fire Management Unit – a grouping of landowners who will manage fire across their units together.
WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OUR WORLD
2016 Fire Season kicks off
The 2016 Fire Season officially launched on 1 November. That means landowners and property owners are asked to be extra vigilant over the coming summer months. According to Louise Wessels, Manager at the Greater Overberg Fire Protection Association, the following five months will require organised fire control.

THE OVERBERG FIRES.
All funds raised will SUPPORT fire-fighters battling the overwhelming Overberg fires. ALL monies raised will be: – used for making the fire lines more bearable, including; – cellphone airtime to talk to their families at home; – foodstuff like ice to keep their drinks cold, that warm meal to supplement their ration packs, and any other essentials. goFPA is a registered PBO.
